Education- a never ending journey of life….

Woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep;
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
                                                                                    Robert Frost

The inspiring lines by Robert Frost indicate the never ending beautiful journey of educational life. I am not talking about only academic education, but the education which is actually a lifelong process. Education is a source that not only helps in earning livelihood but also in earning life. By earning life, I mean to say how to create life. True and real education makes our life open ended. We tend to THINK broadly, openly, logically, smilingly, seriously, charmingly, creatively, beautifully, instantly and of course with certainty, because of this lively education.

In academic education, it is often told that stealing is bad, but education of life favors stealing: stealing time for your near and dear ones and stealing even the smallest moment of happiness. Life’s education says, ‘don’t wait for big happiness to come your way, be happy on the smallest reason to smile’. Education of life tells; if you see someone without a smile, give one of yours. It tells; optimism is just like the feeling that one year old baby has when you throw him in air and he laughs because he know you will catch him……so you should be an optimist.

Education of life always suggests stability and firmness. You should work on objectives of determining goals in order to set an aim in life. Believing in your self, you should follow WATCH: watch your Words; watch your Action; watch your Thoughts; watch your Character; and watch your Health. May it seem to be the most difficult WATCH, but the best one to have a PUNCTUAL attitude.

Education of life makes us aware of some facts: there is always a little truth behind every ‘just kidding’; little knowledge behind every ‘I don’t know’; a little emotion behind every ‘I don’t care’, a little ‘love’ behind every ‘hate’; and a little ‘pain’ behind every ‘its ok’. But our careless attitude towards life makes us unaware of these simple but deep facts. So, use, admire and truly enjoy each and every moment of life, don’t just let it go because there is no courtesy desk for us to go and get a refund on an unused life.

So, to be an active participant of this beautiful journey of life’s education, Shri Harivansh Rai Bachchan has transformed the above saying which I personally feel even more inspiring:

mobile haadsa....

Everyday Is A New Day!!

Its been said that Everyday is a new day, but with same routine especially for the students School of Education, DAVV, Indore. Still everyday is a new day because here too we need to follow different timetable, every new day we need to rearrange our bag and every new day we try to find out some free time so that we can at least have a feel of a college life..... With the coming of a new day, we feel who will blast a bomb on our head at this new day.... Every day our teachers say to us you need to work harder and harder and harder and harder.... With every single test on a new day we tremble and after the test we tremble more......

But, we love School of Education, DAVV, Indore..... Every new day we get ready with a curiosity for what we are going to learn with this new day... With a new day we feel about the intensity of our capacities and capabilities too.... Every new day our teachers make us feel special when they notice our each and every little flaw... Every day we think of learning something new with a different way, more analytically and comparatively.... Every new day our teachers try to occupy a free period to teach us and make our syllabus complete.... Every day we feel proud to be a part of School of Education.....

So, I tink its absolutely correct to say that EVERYDAY IS A NEW DAY!

Ten Commandments (Principles of Aryasamaj)

1. THE SOURCE OF TRUTH: The first (efficient) cause of all true knowledge and all that is known through knowledge is Parmeshvara ( the Highest Lord, i.e God)
"Him who is our Protector, Progenitor, ordainer,
Him who knows all places and beings,
Him who is one Assigner of names to all entities-
Aye, Him all else that is, points to-
                                         As the One Enquired about."
                                                                                                      -Rig Veda, X. 82. 3.

2. THE ONE ADORABLE: Ishvara (God) is existent, intelligent, and blissful. He is formless, omniscient, just, merciful, unborn, endless, unchangeable, beginning-less, unequaled, the support of all, the master of all, omnipresent, immanent, unaging, immortal, fearless, eternal and holy, and the maker of all. He alone is worthy of being worshiped.

3. THE SCRIPTURE OF TRUTH: Vedas are the scripture of true knowledge. It is the first duty of the Aryas (well being) to read them, teach them, recite them, and hear them being read.

4. BELIEF IN TRUTH: One should always be ready to accept the truth and give up untruth.

5. PRACTICE OF TRUTH: One should do everything according to the dictates of dharma, i.e., after due reflection over right and wrong.

6.THE IDEAL OF UNIVERSAL GOD: Doing good to the whole world is the primary object of this Society, i.e, to look to its physical, spiritual, and social welfare.

7. THE DUTY OF LOVE: Let the dealings with all be regulated by love and justice, in accordance with the dictates of dharma.

8. VIDYA AND AVIDYA: One should promote Vidya (realization of subject and object) and dispel Avidya (illusion).

9. SELF- GREATER AND SMALLER: One should not be content with one's own welfare alone, but should look for one's own welfare in the welfare of all.

10. DUTY AND LIBERTY: One should regard one's self under restriction to follow altruistic rulings of society, while in followin rules of individual welfare all should be free.

These ten principles has been taken from a book by Shri Chamupati M.A., a scholar. The book is 'Ten Commandments- Principles of Aryasamaj'.
